Bonus Feature:
On the first menu of the first DVD highlight 'setup' and press your Left button4@."d@~ӎW;]ޏu'll then be taken to a hidden screen with a keypad. your Enter button in the number 1146 (the time of Earth's destruction given in the pre-title sequence of show one) and you'll see the demolition in slow motion, follow by the recipe for Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters.

Bonus Feature:
There is also an apparently random feature on disc one - if you let the first menu play thru the title music without selecting anything it will eventually fade out and start playing episode one. However, on some occasions a 'warped' version of the opening to the first episode will be played instead - complete with a Don't Panic message telling you your DVD player has been taken over by the infinite improbability drive.

On the first menu of the second DVD highlight 'Communicate' and press your Left button - a graphic of the earth will appear in the middle of the screen, press select to view the full version of the title sequence taken from the series' original pilot episode.

Finally, on the outer planets turn subtitles on. Then select Inner Planets and press your Left button to highlight a hidden Don't Panic logo. You will now see some Hitchhiker's Guide extended footage of the improbability drive as displayed on the Heart of Gold Screens in the background in "Episodes" 2 & 3.
